Auction Estates is pleased to report a strong result from its Live National Auction held on 23rd April 2026, achieving a total of £4,375,000 in sales across residential, commercial and land opportunities.

The auction saw competitive bidding across a range of assets, with strong participation from both in-room and telephone bidders throughout the day.

A standout result was a freehold parcel of land at Land off Main Street, Widmerpool, Nottinghamshire (NG12 5PR), guided at £35,000+, which sold for £76,000. The result more than doubled its guide price and demonstrated strong competition for well-positioned land with potential for alternative uses (STP).

Another excellent result was the Lake and Land off Trent Lane, Long Eaton, Derbyshire (NG10 2FZ), guided at £150,000+, which sold for £202,000 following strong interest from both telephone bidders and those in attendance. The sale comprised a rare opportunity to acquire a freehold parcel of land with a fishing lake extending to approximately 14.82 acres, located adjacent to Spring Lakes Watersports and Leisure Centre.

Strong competition was also seen for a mixed-use investment at Victoria Road, Netherfield, guided at £195,000+, which sold for £231,000, reflecting continued demand for income-producing assets with future potential (STP).

A number of properties were sold prior to auction following strong pre-auction offers that clients chose to accept, further demonstrating continued demand ahead of auction day.

A notable pre-auction sale was 2 Lee Road, Burton Joyce, Nottingham (NG14 5GP), a guide price £650,000+, an exquisite detached Victorian residence combining period elegance with modern refinement. The property generated strong early interest and was sold prior to auction following an offer accepted by the vendor.

Another pre-auction sale was Holwell Sports & Social Club, 41 Welby Road, Asfordby Hill, Melton Mowbray (LE14 3RD), guided at £125,000+. The property attracted a very strong level of interest during marketing, with multiple parties engaging. The vendor accepted a pre-auction offer in line with their instructions, demonstrating the strength and flexibility of the auction process in achieving committed sales ahead of auction.

These results highlight continued demand across a wide range of asset types, particularly land, mixed-use investments, and unique residential opportunities.

Auction Estates continues to work with a strong mix of private individuals, joint agents and corporate clients, delivering successful outcomes both prior to and during auction.

In total, £4,375,000 was achieved across the auction.

Our next Live National Auction will take place on 18th June 2026 at Nottingham Racecourse, Colwick.
